As a fractional lease member you will be purchasing the right to use your boat for a minimum number of days per year; in fact, you can choose whether you wish to use a full day, or just a partial day, thereby increasing the number of times you can use your boat; for example a typical boat will have up to eight like-minded people sharing the costs; this dramatically reduces the cost for each member and entitles each membership to approximately 45 days of use per year; historically that is more than all but the most dedicated boaters will use. However since most people use their boat for just a few hours at a time, an evening cruise for example, not booking the full day could enable you to use the vessel 90 times throughout the year! Even then, if you do use all of your time allocation, you still have unlimited access to your boat on an 'as available' basis for no additional charge!

All you pay is an initial down payment and a small monthly membership fee - this covers all of the overhead involved in boat ownership, including professional management, maintenance, dockage, insurance, registration and all other expenses that go along with boat ownership except the fuel you consume.
