Fractional leasing enables you to enjoy the wonders of boating on Lake Norman or Lake Wylie without all the hassles of traditional boat ownership AND for a fraction of the cost! Most boat owners only use their boat 20 days per year (US Census). Therefore by allowing others to use the boat during the other 345 days, you can split the costs of the boat's investment to create cost effective boating - just like if you and a group of friends purchased a boat together to share the costs. However, North Point Yacht Share has established a creative new program to enable the lowest cost form of fractional yacht enjoyment – the fractional lease option! This program offers an extremely low cost way to enjoy the world of boating with just a minimum up front commitment, and low monthly membership fees. A key fundamental of fractional leasing is the pride of ownership each member shares. Once you select the watercraft you wish to enjoy, it functionally becomes yours! You will share just that vessel with only a handful of other like-minded people who will all treat your boat with respect and ensure that it remains in first class condition. Fractional Leasing ensures that each boat or yacht is shared between a limited number of people; this normally results in the boat not being used for a significant amount of time, and therefore it is often available for you to use, even for last minute bookings!

Don’t worry if you’re not an experienced boater - We ensure all members undergo adequate basic boating and safety training and we even offer an ongoing training program that can take anyone from novice to captain! Our National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) courses can be customized to certify the abilities of experienced boaters and offer local waterways knowledge, or alternatively we can take things from scratch and train you, your family and your friends to work together as an effective captain and crew. This should give you the peace of mind to know that every member sharing your boat has the seamanship skills and local waterway knowledge to safely pilot your vessel.
